IV Certification
IV therapy is a required and necessary skill set for numerous healthcare providers.
This course is only for healthcare providers. This course is not for the general public.
This course aims to train nurses, nursing students, and those who insert, maintain, and discontinue IVs in their scope of practice.
This certification course conforms to the National Infusion Society Guidelines and Hospital Consortium IV Course Curriculum.
Note: other non-nursing professionals may take this program if initiating, managing, and discontinuing IVs is within your scope of practice; however, your license/certification must delineate that IV therapy is within your scope of practice.
The course has two modules:
Module 1: In-person skills workshop/classroom (approx. 4-6 hours) (duration is based upon group size. Scroll down for schedule)
Module 2: Home Study: (Online) Didactic program, including the online final examination (approx. 6-9 hours)
